For Families
If a member of your family is missing or forcibly disappeared, the National Commission for the Missing and Forcibly Disappeared (NCMFD) is the independent national body established under Law No. 105/2018 to work to clarify the fate and whereabouts of missing and forcibly disappeared persons.
The Law recognizes families’ right to know the fate of their relatives. The Commission works to collect, preserve, review, verify and cross-check relevant information and to follow up on it, in coordination with the competent authorities where appropriate, with the aim of obtaining reliable information about the fate and whereabouts of each missing or forcibly disappeared person.
