The National Commission for the Missing and Forcibly Disappeared (NCMFD) participated in a roundtable on advancing the search for missing and forcibly disappeared persons in Lebanon, highlighting the importance of access to information, adequate resources, and coordinated efforts to implement Law No. 105/2018 and uphold families’ right to know.
If a member of your family is missing or forcibly disappeared, you can use the Online Inquiry Center to provide information, update information previously submitted, or make an inquiry.
Information submitted through the Online Inquiry Center is treated confidentially and is subject to safeguards for data protection and restricted access.
The National Commission for the Missing and Forcibly Disappeared works with national and international partners in support of the implementation of its mandate under Law No. 105/2018. Depending on the nature of each partnership, cooperation may include technical expertise, institutional and operational support, information and data management, forensic and identification capacity, engagement with families of missing persons, as well as financial and logistical support.
Cooperation with each organization is undertaken according to the nature of the partnership and the agreed areas of work, while fully preserving the Commission’s independence and its authority to determine its priorities, take its decisions, and implement its mandate in accordance with Law No. 105/2018.
